Soccer Game Preview: Wakefield vs. Broughton + Official Tickets

Wakefield hasn't had much luck against Broughton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to challenge the Capitals at 6:30 p.m. Wakefield is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Wakefield proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rolesville, sneaking past 3-2.

Jacob Barlett and Julien Hafner scored all three of Wakefield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Broughton hasn't lost a match since September 3rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Millbrook finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Broughton have been dealt a draw since back in September.

Wakefield's win bumped their record up to 10-7-3. Broughton's draw makes their record 13-2-4 this season.

Wakefield couldn't quite get it done against Broughton in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
