Basketball Game Preview: Chipley Tigers vs. Baker Gators

The Chipley Tigers will take on the Baker Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Chipley heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Wednesday. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Graceville.

Meanwhile, Baker hadn't done well against Paxton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Baker came out on top in a nail-biter against Paxton, sneaking past 48-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Chipley better focus on containing AJ Chilton and Terrance Clausell as the pair were huge in Baker's win. Chilton posted 17 points, while Clausell scored 13 points.

Chipley's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Baker, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Chipley came out on top in a nail-biter against Baker in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, sneaking past 65-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chipley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
