Rochelle Zell Jewish posted their closest victory since April 2nd on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Cristeros back in April, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Rochelle Zell Jewish who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-27, 25-19.

Rochelle Zell Jewish's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rochelle Zell Jewish is set to square off against their familiar foe Walther Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cristo Rey Jesuit will challenge rival Christ the King at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
