Baseball Recap: Niles Notre Dame Sets Scoring Season-High Against Niles North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Niles Notre Dame). They put the hurt on the Niles North Vikings with a sharp 15-1 win on Friday. With that victory, the Dons brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Anthony Baldassano looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leo Connolly, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Nathan Olivares was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
