Soccer Game Preview: North Central vs. Cheraw

The North Central Knights will take on the Cheraw Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for North Central and three for Cheraw.

North Central is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against York Prep on Tuesday. North Central fell just short of York Prep by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Cheraw didn't have quite enough to beat Buford on Tuesday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by just one goal.

Gabe Caston wasn't going to let Buford walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cheraw's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Cheraw's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

North Central might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Cheraw in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can North Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
