Thornton Fractional South took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Richards 64-40.

While Lake Forest Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Chicago University, posting a 58-31 victory. The Caxys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Lake Forest Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Thornton Fractional South, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Thornton Fractional South came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Forest Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 41-38.
