Soccer Recap: Saint Viator Triumphs

Saint Viator was handed a six-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Moline Maroons 2-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Saint Viator's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Moline are ranked 209th).

The win got Saint Viator back to even at 7-7-1. As for Moline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Saint Viator has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Normal West on the 2nd. As for Moline, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Union Grove on the 3rd.
