Mitchell scored a shocking upset when it eliminated Yankton, 27-21. At the time, the Bucks/Gazelles were ranked 17th in the state, while the Kernels were 52nd.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Yankton, who defeated 17th ranked Yankton, 27-21. Kanin Nelson threw for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 65 yards during the win.

Mitchell's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Mitch Johnson contributed 63 yards.

Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Mitchell takes on Harrisburg. The Kernels' offense has recorded 27 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Tigers have permitted only 2 on the year.

A big matchup in Eastern South Dakota this week will be when Mitchell takes on Harrisburg. The Kernels are in second place, while Brandon White's team is in third place.
