Basketball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

Cambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Ovilla Christian Eagles and fell 61-5. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1474th, while the Eagles are ranked 565th).

It was another big night for Sophie Henry, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 25 boards for Ovilla Christian. Henry's evening made it 21 games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Zoey Hensley, who posted 12 points along with seven steals and five assists.

Cambridge's record now sits at 0-9. As for Ovilla Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Cambridge nor Ovilla Christian have any future games scheduled.
