Recap: Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers vs. Lewis J. Bennett Tigers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canisius, the Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lewis J. Bennett by a score of 62-53. For Hutchinson-Central Tech, this counts as revenge for the 64-63 loss Lewis J. Bennett walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Lewis J. Bennett lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mayeen Majong, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Majong scored a full 30.2% of Lewis J. Bennett's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jazier Fluker, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.

Hutchinson-Central Tech now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lewis J. Bennett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hutchinson-Central Tech will finish 2023 at home by hosting Chautauqua Lake at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Lewis J. Bennett will be home for the holidays to greet International Prep at Grover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
