Softball Recap: Windermere Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lake Buena Vista

There's no place like home for Windermere, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Lake Buena Vista Vipers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Vipers: they've now won four in a row.

Sophia Margelos looked comfortable as she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Erika Bennouna, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Tristan Trimbee, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Windermere's record is now 11-9. As for Lake Buena Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Windermere and Lake Buena Vista will both be playing Lake Minneola the next time they take the field. The Vipers will host the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolverines will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
