Preview: Edgerton Bulldogs vs. Paulding Panthers
Edgerton has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Paulding Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Edgerton suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 59-35 loss at the hands of Antwerp. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Edgerton has suffered against Antwerp since December 28, 2019.
Meanwhile, Paulding's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty Center. Paulding has not had much luck with Liberty Center recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Edgerton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Paulding, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Edgerton came up short against Paulding when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 53-46. Can Edgerton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
