Basketball Recap: Tempe Comes Up Short

Tempe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Coconino Panthers, falling 69-21. If the Buffaloes were looking for revenge after losing 54-23 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coconino can attribute much of their success to Jazmyn Ben, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marshae Manakaja, who put up eight points.

Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Coconino, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Tempe will be playing at home against Crismon at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Coconino, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 30-28 victory against Bradshaw Mountain on the 14th.
