Baseball Recap: Pulaski County Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Pulaski County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Casey County on Monday. The Maroons never let the Rebels get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Maroons haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Carter Ross made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kade Hargis, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Kamden Measel was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Pulaski County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Casey County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-19.
