Baseball Recap: Raytown South Takes a Loss

If Raytown South was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Ruskin on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals lost 13-1 to the Pembroke Hill Raiders on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Raytown South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcellus Goudeau, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Raytown South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Pembroke Hill, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raytown South will face off against North Kansas City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will venture away from home to take on Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
