Basketball Recap: Cody Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lovell last Friday, Cody came back down to earth. The Cody Broncs fell 47-38 to the Pinedale Wranglers on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Broncs have let down their home crowd.

Elyn Bowers was her usual excellent self, going 11-for-16 on her way to 29 points for Pinedale. The matchup was Bowers' 33rd in a row with at least 15 points. Alyxis White was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Cody's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Pinedale, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Cody has already played their next game, a 69-37 victory against Buffalo on the 22nd. As for Pinedale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-46 win against Powell on the 22nd.
