Baseball Game Preview: East Peoria Raiders vs. Morton Potters

For the second straight game, East Peoria will face off against Morton. The Raiders will head out to take on the Potters at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Peoria's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Morton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

East Peoria's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Morton 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Not much got past R.J. Duncheon, who gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Morton off the board. Duncheon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, East Peoria secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Roman Moody, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

With the defeat, Morton broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-7. As for East Peoria, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
