Softball Recap: Tatum Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Tatum and Troup had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles lost 16-1 to the Tigers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Tuesday.

Tatum's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Troup, their victory was their 15th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tatum will challenge Carthage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Troup, they will face off against White Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
