Laton had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's contest, but Yann Jimenez didn't let it get to seven. The Laton Mustangs slipped by the Legacy Christian Academy Lions 54-53 on Tuesday thanks in part to Jimenez, who went 13 of 28 en route to 32 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Jaythan Garcia was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. He has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last four times he's played.

Laton's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Laton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-26 loss against Maricopa on the 15th. Legacy Christian Academy has also already played their next match, a 40-34 defeat against Riverdale Christian on the 17th.
