Lincoln scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 12-8 to the Pioneer Pioneers. The Railsplitters' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Michael Stone made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Sindlinger, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pioneer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pioneers beat Lincoln by a score of 4-1 later that day.
