Softball Recap: Half Moon Bay Comes Up Short

Half Moon Bay lost against Sequoia back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars lost 14-4 to the Ravens. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly ten runs.

Zoey Schwartz was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Paisley Harris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Half Moon Bay's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sequoia, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Half Moon Bay is set to challenge their familiar foe Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sequoia will face off against rival Terra Nova at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
