Softball Recap: Ellington Makes It 17 in a Row on the Road

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Ellington nor Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Knights didn't even let the Patriots on the board, marking the Knights' second-straight 2-0 shutout. Give the Knights' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Camryn Fisher made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

Fisher wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyla Gambacorta, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
