Baseball Recap: Elida Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Elida had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 10-8 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Ottoville Big Green by a score of 4-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Marc Troyer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

As for Ottoville, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly three runs.

On Ottoville's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Hohlbein, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elida will head out to square off against Lima Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ottoville, they will venture away from home to challenge Tinora at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
