It was a good run, but Bradley-Bourbonnais unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. The Boilermakers were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lydia Hammond, who had 11 digs and one assist, and Morgan Curtis, who had four digs.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

Coming up, Bradley-Bourbonnais will face off against Sandburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will take on Stagg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
