Dock Mennonite has gone a perfect 8-0 against Valley Forge Military Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dock Mennonite has six straight victories, Valley Forge Military Academy has 17 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Dock Mennonite is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Jenkintown a 16-0 shutout last Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
James Steinmetz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Steinmetz was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jasiah Stachelek was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Luke Burleigh was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Dock Mennonite was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Valley Forge Military Academy came up short against Plumstead Christian last Tuesday, falling 19-3.
Dock Mennonite's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Valley Forge Military Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Valley Forge Military Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dock Mennonite has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .503. It's a different story for Valley Forge Military Academy, though, as they've only averaged .328. Will they be able to contain Dock Mennonite's hitters?
