Brayden Loyd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Seymour over Electra

Starting off the list is Seymour's Brayden Loyd, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Loyd threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Electra had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Loyd it was a similar story. Loyd threw for 438 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 76.3% of his passes the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Munday now has a winning record of 4-3. Williams and Munday will face off against Electra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Smith Came Up Big in Archer City's 28-8 Loss

Landon Smith's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 118+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

If the past is any indication, Smith could be in store for another big game when he takes on Haskell on Friday. When Smith last faced the Indians back in October of 2023, he threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
