Baseball Recap: Daviess County Victorious

Daviess County barely beat Ohio County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Daviess County Panthers never let the Ohio County Eagles get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Brody Brubaker, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Lucas Ward was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Daviess County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ohio County only posted a batting average of .000.

The win got Daviess County back to even at 1-1. As for Ohio County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
