While Covington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with  a   7-4  win over the Parke Heritage Wolves  on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Wolves  two weeks ago, they had to take a  2-1  defeat.
 Creux Rieman was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  pitched seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   ten  hits. Rieman was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Cian Moore was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  AJ Asbury, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Covington is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Parke Heritage,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington will head out to  square off against Fountain Central  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Parke Heritage, they will venture away from home to  challenge Cloverdale  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
