Northeastern dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Currituck County Knights, falling 28-7. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Northeastern's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zak Ishman, who threw for 249 yards and one TD, and Uzziah Harney, who picked up 79 receiving yards and one score.

As for Currituck County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.2 points on average over those games.

It was another big night for Jamie Dance, who threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 38 yards. Luka Britt was another key player, picking up 112 receiving yards and one score.

Coming up, Northeastern will look to defend their home field on Friday against First Flight at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles will be up against the Nighthawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Currituck County, they will square off against Hertford County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
