Westminster saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Atencio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Atencio has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 3-7 otherwise. Carlos Sisneros also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As for Standley Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6. Considering they have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

On Standley Lake's side, Aidan Rose spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. Rose has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Standley Lake got a massive performance out of Alex Blanco, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Blanco a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyce Brozovich, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster will square off against Boulder at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Standley Lake, they will face off against Littleton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
