Basketball Recap: Winona Takes a Loss

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Frankston Indians, falling 76-33. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1124th, while the Indians are ranked 388th).

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Frankston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Winona and Pittsburg will face off at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Frankston, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 87-67 victory against Woden on the 13th.
