The East Moline Christian Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Morning Star Academy Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. East Moline Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Morning Star Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, East Moline Christian turned things around against Galesburg Christian on Thursday. They slipped by the Lions 37-36.

Bright Tsolegnanou continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of East Moline Christian's points. Robert Phillips was another key player, putting up three points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Meanwhile, Morning Star Academy came up short against Quad Cities Christian on Monday and fell 60-47. The Mustangs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Morning Star Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for East Moline Christian, their win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.

East Moline Christian came up short against Morning Star Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 25-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Morning Star Academy's David Martin, who went 9 of 15 en route to 21 points and six rebounds.
