Softball Recap: Quaker Valley Comes Up Short

Quaker Valley lost against Keystone Oaks back in April of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Quakers came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 8-1.

Quaker Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gemma Wiegand, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Quaker Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Keystone Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Quaker Valley will venture away from home to take on Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Flames will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Quakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Keystone Oaks, they will be playing at home against Fort Cherry at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rangers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.75 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
