Softball Recap: Jamestown Muskies vs. Reynolds Raiders

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilmington, Jamestown was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Reynolds Raiders a 15-0 shutout. For the Muskies, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Miranda Biles made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Biles was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and four RBI.

In other batting news, Camilla Cox was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gianna Solderich, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Jamestown lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.
