Basketball Recap: Westlake Starts Season with Win Against Chopticon + How To Watch

Westlake took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 57-45 win over the Chopticon Braves. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 60-50 loss the last time these two teams met.

Westlake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darius Kemper, who posted 11 points along with six steals and five boards. Those six steals gave Kemper a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Warner, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 10 points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks.

Westlake has already played their next game (against Glenelg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chopticon, they will square off against Great Mills at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
