The Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes will square off against the Carbondale Terriers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carbondale took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Zeigler-Royalton, who comes in off a win.

Mayti House made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. That run marked the first that she scored this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrianna Furlow-Hampton, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kahli Sanders, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Carbondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of McCracken County. That's two games in a row now that the Terriers have lost by just one run.
Lauren Lehman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024.
Carbondale's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Zeigler-Royalton, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Carbondale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Zeigler-Royalton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331.
