Serra Catholic put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 78-36 win over the Mt. Pleasant Vikings. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.

Serra Catholic was led to victory by Owen Dumbroski and Mark Johnson. Dumbroski went 9 of 20 on his way to 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, while Johnson went 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Johnson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Sapida, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Serra Catholic pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.6 points. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Serra Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-53 defeat against South Allegheny on the 17th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will venture away from home to face off against Jeannette at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
