Softball Recap: Wilton-Lyndeborough Comes Up Short

Wilton-Lyndeborough extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They came up short against the Mascenic Regional Vikings, falling 28-2. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 21-3 to the Vikings when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Mascenic Regional, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

For Mascenic Regional's part, Kiahna Farrey was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordin Schuler, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs.
