Selkirk is 8-2 against Cusick since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Selkirk Rangers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cusick Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Selkirk and seven for Cusick.

Selkirk came up short against Inchelium on Tuesday, falling 51-31. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Hornets are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cusick took on Curlew on Thursday. Cusick was beaten by Curlew 56-25. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.

Selkirk's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Cusick, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything went Selkirk's way against Cusick when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Selkirk made off with a 43-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Selkirk since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
