Softball Game Preview: Carroll Patriots vs. Valley View Spartans

The Carroll Patriots will square off against the Valley View Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Carroll fell victim to Badin and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 18-0 to the Rams.

Meanwhile, Valley View was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Blanchester with a sharp 19-11 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their one-run performance the game before.

Lily Bell was a standout: she got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Brelynn Riley was another key player, going 4-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Valley View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
