Volleyball Recap: Grand Blanc Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Grand Blanc faced off against Dakota on Saturday. The Bobcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Hailey Wilson paced Grand Blanc's offense, picking up three kills. Wilson got some help from Ella Stevenson and her five assists. Stevenson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Grand Blanc's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Dakota, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1.

Grand Blanc and Dakota will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bobcats will face off against rival Carman-Ainsworth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dakota is set to challenge their familiar foe L'Anse Creuse North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
