The Tuscola Warriors will challenge the Marshall Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Tuscola is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Cerro Gordo/Bement 13-3 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won five in a row.

Kinzie Cleland made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Brynlee Ring and Ava Boyer did most of the damage at the plate: Ring went 3-for-5 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and one run, while Boyer went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That run was Ring's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Allison Pettry, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Tuscola kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Marshall put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Salt Fork an 18-0 shutout. Fans of the Lions have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Tuscola, Marshall also got a great game from a two-way player: Kyla Gustafson. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Gustafson was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Marshall got a massive performance out of Lynn Welborn, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Haley McGuire was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Tuscola's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Marshall, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
Tuscola might still be hurting after the 16-2 defeat they got from Marshall in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can Tuscola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
