Tamarac and Hoosic Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bengals will head out on the road to challenge the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tamarac will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Tamarac had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Emma Willard on Tuesday. The Bengals were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Jesters. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bengals considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Erin Lee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Tamarac got a big performance out of Ashlynn Tomaro, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Toni DeLorenzo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
Tamarac always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Hoosic Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 17-7 to Stillwater.
Ella Waldron was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayley Valcik, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Tamarac's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Hoosic Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Hoosic Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tamarac has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Hoosic Valley, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Tamarac's sizable advantage in that area, the Hawks will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tamarac took their victory against Hoosic Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
