Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Takes a Loss

Tabernacle Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Union Grove Christian Patriots on the road by a 58-41 margin. The Conquerors were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in February.

It was another big night for Colin Wykes, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 21 points in addition to six assists and six steals for Union Grove Christian. The matchup was Wykes' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Trinkle, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Tabernacle Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Union Grove Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Tabernacle Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-43 loss against Wilkes Central on the 16th. As for Union Grove Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-36 defeat against Oak Grove on the 12th.
