Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jade Carter and Gwendolyn Fish Lead Gibbs to Victory + How To Watch

Gibbs won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gladiators blew past the Spartans 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gladiators.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gibbs was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13, 25-9.

Gibbs was led to victory by Gwendolyn Fish and Jade Carter. Fish hit 71.4% for ten kills and 13 digs, 12 aces, and one block, while Carter had ten digs. That's the most digs Fish has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Gibbs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Gibbs picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Gibbs will head out to square off against Boca Ciega at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will venture away from home to take on Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
