Basketball Game Preview: Wellington School Jaguars vs. Bishop Rosecrans Bishops

Having just played yesterday, the Wellington School Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wellington School beat Berne Union 49-45.

Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans entered their tilt with Fairfield Christian Academy on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Knights 64-62.

Bishop Rosecrans' win came from a few key players Wellington School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Boothe, who went 8 for 18 to rack up 24 points. Tyler Bernett was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Bishop Rosecrans pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Wellington School, their win bumped their record up to 4-14.

Wellington School came up short against Bishop Rosecrans in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-49. Can Wellington School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
