Baseball Recap: Boyle County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Green County on Saturday, Boyle County came back down to earth. The Rebels fell just short of the Knox Central Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2017.

Boyle County's loss dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Knox Central, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

Boyle County has already played their next contest (against Scott County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Knox Central, they will take on South Laurel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
