Volleyball Recap: Columbus Christian Takes a Loss

Columbus Christian lost against Southwestern back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crusaders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9.

Macimae Brown paced Columbus Christian's offense, picking up two kills. Brown got some help from Abby Dora and her two assists.

Columbus Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Southwestern, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.

Columbus Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Irvington Preparatory Academy on the 13th. As for Southwestern, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Crothersville on the 13th.
