Basketball Recap: Augusta's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Augusta can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They slipped by the Eleva-Strum Cardinals 76-75. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Beavers considering their 28-point performance the match before.

Augusta's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Eleva-Strum, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Augusta will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Colfax at 7:15 p.m. on December 30th. Eleva-Strum and Houston will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th.
