Volleyball Preview: St. Edward Eagles vs. Hudson Explorers

After both having extra time off, the St. Edward Eagles and the Hudson Explorers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

St. Edward is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Jackson, who was ranked sixth at the time (St. Edward was ranked seventh). St. Edward took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson on Saturday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Polar Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While St. Edward was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Hudson earned a 3-1 win over Strongsville last Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Explorers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.
